Just in Time
One of our past clients was a financial planner working for a well know company. We managed the insurance for his autos, his home and knowing he was a financial planner, assumed he had his life insurance in order. "I don't have any life insurance", he said.
He knew that of all people, he should have life insurance but he stated that he had not gotten around to purchasing a life insurance policy. At age 34, he was about to become a father to a beautiful little girl. We were determined to encourage him to buy a life insurance policy… from us or from himself.
After a few months, our client agreed to purchase a $500,000 20-year term life insurance policy through our office. I cannot conceive how I would have felt if I would have had to answer "No... he does not."
Our client passed away later that day at the age of 34 and his wife and new daughter would have to continue without him. We hope that we never have to experience a loss so tragic again; however we are grateful that we were able to help our client "prepare" for the unexpected. A few weeks later, our client's widow, received a check for $500,000
